My opinion on the difference is lightwash usually lacks the common elements of worn denim (whiskers, honeycombs) and is not predominantly a dark indigo. The line between light wash and dad wash is sometimes hard to distinguish (and other times just up to personal opinion). I am not bringing anything new to the table, mostly just a compilation for appeasement sake. I think these are pretty much the exact same images that everyone brings up every time they discuss light wash jeans.
